Job Summary:
The Director of Finance will be responsible for driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and cost optimization across the organization. This role combines strategic financial management with a strong focus on process improvement, ensuring that the company maximizes value, reduces inefficiencies, and maintains financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Financial Leadership
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Develop financial strategies aligned with business objectives to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements.
Operational Efficiency
- Evaluate and streamline financial and operational processes to eliminate redundancies and drive cost efficiency.
- Implement best practices, systems, and tools to improve accuracy, speed, and transparency in financial operations.
- Lead initiatives to enhance productivity, cost control, and overall business efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Supply Chain, Operations, IT) to align financial goals with operational performance.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insights that support strategic decision making.
- Assess new investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and business cases to ensure optimal allocation of resources.
- Drive financial modeling and scenario analysis to guide management on risks, opportunities, and long-term planning.
People & Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and operations efficiency teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Build capacity within the team to support evolving business needs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Masters degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA or equivalent) required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong background in financial operations, efficiency improvement, and cost optimization.
- Experience in multinational or complex organizational environments preferred.
- Proven track record of driving operational transformation and implementing financial systems.
