Job Summary
CNS Group is seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer for a furniture retail business in Dar es Salaam. The role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, increasing sales, and supporting overall business growth. The ideal candidate should be proactive, target-driven, and capable of developing strong corporate and customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and individual customers.
- Promote furniture products and services to increase sales revenue.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and business presentations.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Follow up on leads and close business deals effectively.
- Support customer retention and after-sales relationship management.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams for smooth service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of clients, leads, and business activities.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly business development targets.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or corporate relationship management.
- Experience in Furniture Retail is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and close business deals effectively.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Good understanding of sales strategy and customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems is an added advantage.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and professional attitude.
