Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and organize materials, spare parts, equipment, and supplies within workshop, warehouse, and project operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, move, stack, and position materials.
• Support movement of workshop spare parts, equipment, supplies, and project materials.
• Inspect loads before movement and ensure materials are properly balanced and secured.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections of the forklift and report identified defects.
• Observe equipment load-capacity limits and safe operating procedures.
• Support loading and unloading of trucks and other transport vehicles.
• Maintain safe movement around pedestrians, storage areas, vehicles, and other equipment.
• Maintain basic operating records and report equipment faults promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Recognized Forklift Operator training/certification or relevant vocational qualification.
• Valid relevant operator licence or certification where applicable.
• Minimum 2 years of practical forklift operating experience, preferably in warehouse, industrial, agricultural, or heavy-equipment environments.
• Good knowledge of forklift controls, load capacities, stacking, and material-handling procedures.
• Ability to conduct basic daily equipment inspections.
• Good spatial awareness and ability to operate safely in restricted working areas.
• Strong safety awareness, discipline, and attention to instructions.
• Experience handling mechanical parts, agricultural supplies, or industrial materials will be an added advantage.
