Job Summary:

The Sales Officer is responsible for acquiring new clients, promoting microfinance products, and achieving sales and loan disbursement targets. The role involves field-based sales, client assessment, portfolio management, and ensuring timely loan repayments while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Support in achievement of Sales targets implemented by the company
  • Responsible for front office customer service and brand security
  • Inputting borrower information into the loan management systems.
  • Assist in the implementation, planning and execution of marketing and sales strategy
  • Assist in developing company, portfolio and market performance reports as may be needed.
  • Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation of specified limits as per credit policy.
  • Interview loan applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting it
  • Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans
  • Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information
  • Assess customer needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans
  • Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels and cross-sell products and services to accomplish quotas
  • Go the "extra mile" to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process
  • Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines
  • Performing all other related duties in achieving the company's objective as may be assigned.
  • Attending to all leads referred from respective partners and building relationships with them.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A degree in a business-related field or similar.
  • 2 years of sales experience in loan related products
  • Business acumen and integrity.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.ie., Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
