Wheel Loader Operator

Job Summary:
The Wheel Loader Operator will safely operate wheel loaders for loading, moving, stockpiling, and handling soil, agricultural materials, and other materials required for field and land-development operations. The role will ensure productive machine operation while maintaining equipment safety and proper daily care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate wheel loaders for loading, moving, stockpiling, and distributing materials across agricultural and land-development areas.
- Load trucks and other transport equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support land preparation, bush clearing, material movement, and other assigned agricultural activities.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and identify mechanical defects or abnormal operating conditions.
- Perform basic operator-level maintenance, including checking fluids, tyres, hydraulics, and lubrication points.
- Ensure loads remain within safe machine operating capacities.
- Coordinate with truck drivers, field personnel, and other machinery operators during loading activities.
- Maintain operating-hour records and promptly report equipment faults or maintenance requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certificate or recognized vocational/heavy-equipment operator training in Wheel Loader Operations or a related field.
- Valid relevant machinery/operator licence or certification where applicable.
- Minimum 3 years of practical wheel-loader operating experience, preferably in agriculture, land development, construction, mining, or earthmoving.
- Practical experience in loading, stockpiling, and material-handling operations.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, tyres, loader attachments, and routine operator maintenance.
- Good understanding of machine load capacity and safe loading procedures.
- Strong equipment-control, coordination, and workplace safety skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale agricultural or land-development operations will be an added advantage.
