Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a furniture manufacturing company in Dar es Salaam. The role is responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations, production processes, project execution, and overall workflow efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in workshop management, manufacturing operations, project coordination, and time management to ensure productivity, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across workshop, production, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between production, inventory, procurement, and delivery teams.
  • Manage workshop operations to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor stock usage, raw materials, and production timelines.
  • Improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Supervise staff performance and ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Support project planning, execution, and timely completion of client orders.
  • Ensure proper workflow management and effective use of resources.
  • Prepare operational reports and performance analysis for management.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Resolve operational challenges and support business continuity.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree is not mandatory; relevant practical experience is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in operations management, workshop management, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience in furniture manufacturing or related production industries is preferred.
  • Experience in workshop management and supervising production teams.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Good understanding of production planning, stock control, and workflow management.
  • Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting.
  • Professional, results-driven, and customer-focused mindset.
